The Clinical Breast Examination Certification Program is being offered in Las Vegas, NV (March 13-14, 2018) to promote consistent breast health care throughout the nation. This certification is available to licensed healthcare professionals (physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and radiologic technologists). This program is designed to utilize standardization of Clinical Breast Examination Skills to accomplish CBE's Paramount Objective, i.e., Detection of any DOMINANT breast mass, as another early detection tool to ultimately reduce breast cancer deaths.
CBE certification is approved by the America Nurses Credentialing Centers Magnet Recognition Program. Practitioners employed by Magnet Facilities can use CBEC designation in their credentials after successfully completing the examinations.
The program with test practice is held on Tuesday. Examinations will be administered on Wednesday of the scheduled dates. As of this date, over 400 Breast Health Professionals have been CBEC certified by the NCBC.
The cost for new certification for Breast Health professionals (physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and radiology technologists) is $1,045 for nonmembers, and $895 for current NCBC members, with a limited number of registrants at each program.
The cost for current CBECs to re-certify is $300.
You must sign up for NCBC membership before you register for the certification course. Register online here for the certification course.
